Korea Day 2019 to be Held March 9-10

Myanmar-Korea Tourism Working group will hold Korea Day 2019, at Lotte Hotel on March 9 and 10 with the support from the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism and Myanmar Tourism Federation. Their aim will be to promote tourism and improved economic relations between Myanmar and Korea.
       There will be over 40 exhibition booths for Korean companies at the event. They will include restaurants, cosmetics companies, tourism companies, local and international airlines, hotels, hospitals, banks, and transportation companies.
       Myanmar recently eased the visa requirements for China, South Korea, and Japan. China is the top country in terms of the number of tourists visiting Myanmar, followed by South Korea and Thailand, according to U Thet Lwin Toe, President of Myanmar-Korea tourism working group.
       “Korean tourists have big spending power and number of Korean Tourists to Myanmar surged to 70,000 in 2018, from around 60,000 in the previous year. An increase of around 11 percent,”he added.
       The event will be held in two sections at Lotte Hotel: exhibition show in the morning and entertainment program in the evening at People Square.
