Car carrying Rakhine chief minister plunges off bridge in Mrauk-U, no one injured

A Land Cruiser carrying Rakhine State Chief Minister Nyi Pu plunged off a small bridge near Inpaukwa fuel station and Basic Education High School No (1) in Mrauk-U from en route to Kyauktaw Sittwe on Yangon-Sittwe road this morning.
        No one was reported injured and the chief minister had been home, said Region Minister for Development Affairs Win Myint.
        The car plunged into a ravine in Hsinchaseik Ward in Mrauk-U while driving on Yangon-Sittwe road.
        "Nothing happened to him (the chief minister). The car plunged into a ravine. He has been home in good health. The accident happened while he was coming from Nay Pyi Taw," said the minister.
        When the accident happened, Rakhine State Chief Minister Nyi Pu was coming back after attending an agreement signing ceremony for Kyaukphyu Special Economic Zone held in Nay Pyi Taw on November 8.
