MPA gets 3000-HP tugboat

MYANMA Port Authority got an over 3000-HP tugboat yesterday for its port works built by Myanma shipyards –AMECC JV.Co.,Ltd, which is a joint venture company with the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The new tugboat equipped with two 1582 HP engines was built at the cost of US$3.4 million.
        The boat is 32 meters long, 11 meter width and 5 meters draught, and can drive at 12 nautical miles per hour.
        The boat was handed over to the department yesterday at the Health Jetty in Yangon in the presence of Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung.
